Overview
The Huntington Municipal Development Authority (HMDA) is dedicated to promoting, developing, and advancing the business interests of the City of Huntington and its residents.
Our mission centers around providing the City of Huntington with a means to attract capital investments that contribute to employment creation and retention.
Notably, HMDA owns 37 acres of the former American Car Foundry, recognized as the Foundry property, earmarked for redevelopment. This underscores our commitment to revitalizing and enhancing the city's economic landscape.
HMDA's Kinetic Park, a 96-acre business park located just 10 minutes away from Downtown Huntington is strategically situated approximately one-tenth of a mile north of Interstate 64, offering convenient access for businesses and industries considering this prime location.
For those interested in our activities, the Municipal Development Authority convenes on the third Monday of every month at 4 p.m. in City Council Chambers at City Hall.
